Humble
The Humble programming language? System? Whatever it is, it's a table-based way of defining algorithms. Very cool.
Machine learning linkdump
- mlpy Python library for machine learning
- Intuition and data-driven machine learning
- Another competition
Target domain: music
Kinda Hofstadterian, given, but:
- HNN thread about abcjs, a Javascript music typesetter/player using the ABC notation
- Google code page for abcjs
- A list of ABC notation pages
- ABC notation home
- The standard (a page that is surprisingly difficult to find)
- Tutorials
- An interesting-looking paper on evolution of guitar themes. Too bad it's behind the ACM paywall.

The Lisp Curse
An interesting contribution: tl;dr = Lisp is so powerful that major features can be implemented with relative ease, the result being that there is no canonical implementation and thus fragmentation at the social level.
So if you had, say, a system that attempted to understand code, and thus could translate between dialects of OOP, for example, that might bridge this gap.
Say.
